WW1 US / GERMAN KG MARKED POW TROUSERS

Scarce POW issue WW1 US trousers
Obtained from a long standing French Collection
Standard US Infantry trousers
With KG stencilled in white to one leg
KG - KRIEGSGEFANGENE or -PRISONER OF WAR
Would have belonged to a captured US Doughboy
Possibly during the 1918 Offensive
Records show 4120 US Servicemen were POWS in WW1
Condition isn't bad , some moth nips to the seat and leg area
With discolouration and staining to the waist lining band
General wear tear and a couple of small repairs
5 out of 6 belt loops have been replaced
With a slightly darker material (And they have had moth )
The Original printed label is still inside but not readable
The lower leg laces are missing,
Though the original 5 x US Fly buttons are still in place
The KG on the leg looks brighter in the photo than it is
(Had to use the flash)
Interesting article of Great War uniform
Not perfect but still very collectable and display well
