Carved wooden figure of a Soldier
Either Indian or African (I think Indian myself)
Depicts a uniformed figure “Presenting Arms”
Wearing BD & Trousers with a forage - side cap
The rifle is a well carved copy of a British SMLE
Total height is approximately 9”
Made of possibly Olive wood or such like.
May have originally stood on a base ?
No major damage-
A couple of small chips and old worm holes
But nothing to detract from the item itself
Nice bit of “Folk / Trench Art”
