BELGIAN 1935 PATTERN SWORD BAYONET
Good example of a Belgian M35 Bayonet.
17-3/4” Double edged blade with central rib.
Blade only marked with the letter “V”.
Cross guard is numbered “37806”
Along with a square acceptance stamp (?)
Muzzle ring is 15.5mm (M35)
Opposed to the almost identical M16 at 17.5mm
Dark wood grips held by screw bolts
With a small angular pommel & working push stud
Complete with its original blacked steel scabbard.
Condition wise -
The blade has been sharpened on both sides
With some very minor pitting.
Wooden grips in good condition -
With some small almost pin prick dings
Pommel & cross guard with some light pitting
Scabbard has lost the back throat retaining screw.
All in all a good honest item
With wear commensurate with its age.
Not mint by any sense of the word
But as I’ve already said a good honest example.
Getting harder to find in any half decent condition
A nice addition to any collection.
