White Imperial German Bisque Porcelain (?) statue
Depicting a Picklehaube wearing solder
Being greeted by a woman (Wife or Sweetheart?)
His Rifle in one hand the other outstretched in greeting
Fairly crude in manufacture possibly mass produced
During the 1914 -15 period.
White porcelain - highlights picked out with gilding
With “Champions Homecoming “ in German to the base.
A repair to the soldiers outstretched hand
Could possibly be improved upon ,
But to be honest I’d leave it as it is.
Stands approximately 6” tall
A nice addition to a collection of WW1 German Militaria
