WW2 FRENCH COMMUNIST RESISTANCE KNIFE & ARMBAND ETC

WW2 French Communist Resistance lot
Comprising of the followers items,
Crude home made (?) printed Armband
Red cotton body with white central Cross of Lorraine
Black lettering FFI - FTPF
Secured with a loop with MOP button to the reverse
Two enamelled FTPF badges ,
One with a lapel fitting the other with a pin back
A very crude and “Clunky “ sheath knife
Heavy 6” single edged clip back Bowie type blade
Cast Aluminium hilt with integral guard and pommel
With the letters FTP engraved ? on it
Leather sheath with belt loop and retaining strap
Has a wire repair to the edging , small hole to the tip
And the securing stud is missed from the strap.
Sheath has a badge attached -
A Red Enamelled star with Hammer & Sickle
Star has some minor chips to the enamel,
But generally in good condition .
Unusual little lot that I’ve had for some time .
The French Resistance movement was complicated
The FTPF or FTP was a Communist organisation
That eventually became one of the most successful
Resistance movements in occupied Europe.
Far too much to go into but a Google search
Will show the complexity of French WW2 Resistance.
