PRE WAR SOVIET FLYING HELMET

Unusual Brown Leather flying helmet
With a quilted khaki cotton lining
With two ear flaps that can be rolled
Then held either open or shut with popper fixings
Covering a brass “Ear Port “
The front peak can also be folded up / down with a popper fixing.
A large neck flap can be folded up / down again with popper stud fixings..
Simple chin strap with adjustable buckle / popper
Very well made , leather is thick but supple
It displays well with the look of a WW1 / 1920’s piece
I can’t pin down this exact model of Helmet
It came from an established collection of Flying kit
The collector had it listed as WW2 Russian
It’s very similar to ones I’ve seen online
Though not identical.
