1942 DATED BRITISH GAS RATTLE ARMY / HG

Heavy duty wooden Gas Rattle
With added galvanised metal rear sound box .
Clearly stamped S55 (Broad Arrow) & dated 1942
I believe these heavy rattles weren’t always CD issue
Instead intended for Army and Home Guard units.
Being used ( amongst other things ) during training
To simulate machine gun fire .
A nice very loud WW2 collectible
