VERY UNUSUAL IRANIAN BADGED PITH HELMET

Unusual “Bombay Bowler” type Pith Helmet.
Multi fold pugaree band ,with 2x air vents to each side
Original brown leather chinstrap
(That goes right across the crown & down / around )
Unfortunately missing the top cloth loop
( The loop the chin strap goes through )
(on the top of the helmet )
Makers label to the inner crown
“Nam Kong helmet Makers Singapore “
Fitted with a very unusual brass :cap badge
Of the Iranian Qajar Dynasty circa 1920-25
Believed to be either Military or Police .
Badge appears to be as old as the helmet ,
(Not a later addition.)
A unusual combination of Singapore made helmet
Along with a badge from Iran .
A nice addition to any collection.
