WW2 HOME GUARD GAS MASK & TIN

1937 dated Standard civilian pattern gas-mask
Black rubber face mask with off white cotton straps
Contained in a Green Metal carrying tin
With a thin rope shoulder strap
Appears to be made of early Para or thin Sash cord
Tin on the bottom " I - H&L 1941"
With a cloth lining and full instructions on the inner lid
The Home Guard carried their civilian pattern gas masks
In these tins until they were supplied with military respirators
In good condition
