Late war - Early 50’s Russian sailors cap
Black body with white piping
(Crown approx 9.5” across)
Full length cap tally of the “Baltic Fleet”
(Gold anchor decoration to both ends)
Excellent quality deep red enamelled “Red Star”
Inside is fully lined in a grey satin like material ,
Complete with a brown leatherette sweat band
Most wartime examples were lined in oilskin
Though some did have a leather liner band
General age related wear and tear
Some minor moth nips and grazing to the crown
But all in all a nice early Soviet naval cap
These don’t turn up often
Most of what’s now seen date from the 1980’s
