WW2 3rd PATTERN FS KNIFE & SCABBARD

Third Pattern FS knife,
Ribbed grey alloy hilt (No.2 marking to grip)
With a rounded brass pommel nut.
Thick steel cross guard (Slightly out of shape)
Blade has been service sharpened ,
Approx 6.25” in length - slightly shortened
With a couple of minor edge knocks ,
As well as some General wear and greying .
But nothing to detract from the item .

In correct brown leather scabbard,
With all four leg tabs removed
As well as the elastic hilt retaining strap.
With flat ended blued steel chape.
Two additional holes to the scabbard belt loop.
Appears to have been done for a securing lace / loop
(In place of the removed elastic strap)

An honest item with obvious signs of wear and tear
It’s been used , but definitely not ugly !
An affordable addition to any WW2 collection
