UNTOUCHED WW2 FP FIRE PATROL HELMET

Totally untouched MK2 British steel helmet
A cellar find and not cleaned in any way
(Still has a couple of dead spiders in the lining !)
Black blue in colour with FP in white to the front
No visible dates on the inner shell
Though they may be there under the rust / grime
Early pattern liner with central felt cushion
Again I can’t see a date on the frame
Probably there but I don’t want to disturb it at all
With original webbing chinstrap and buckle
As can be seen from the pictures it’s as is
Untouched , not restored , played with etc
I very much doubt it’s seen the light of day in years
Careful conservation could bring this up really well
It’s 100% solid with most of its original paint
With a smattering of rust to the outside
Slight pitting in places both inside & out
But still a cracking piece
Just a gentle clean should bring it up a treat
